THE LIGHT WATERFRONT PENANG

 

Prominently located along the eastern coastline of Penang, THE LIGHT Waterfront Penang is a one-of-a-kind integrated waterfront development spanning 152-acres of prime urban seafront land. Divided into three phases of development, the grand masterplan of THE LIGHT Waterfront Penang features a host of components including residential, recreational, business, entertainment, retail, hospitality, commercial and many more.

Phase I consists of 42-acres of residential development, while Phase II consists of 103-acres of mix development and Phase III consists of 7-acres of seafront park.

THE LIGHT CITY

The Light City, which is a part of Phase II of THE LIGHT Waterfront Penang, spans across 32.76-acres and occupying the very centre of THE LIGHT masterplan. The Light City forms the heart of THE LIGHT Waterfront Penang. It is expected to comprise a retail mall with waterfront dining, premium residential towers, a high quality office tower, two international hotels and the largest convention centre in Penang.

The Light City will be developed in two phases.

The first phase of The Light City will have a mall with a 680,000 sqft net lettable area, the Penang Waterfront Convention Centre, a four-star hotel with 500 rooms, offices and the Mezzo residential condominiums.

The second phase of The Light City will have a 300,000 sqft mall, a five-star hotel with 250 rooms, offices and the Essence residential condominiums.

 

The Light City is designed as a 'Smart City' and will be equipped with fibre optics and Wi-Fi infrastructure, providing shoppers, meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions ("MICE") delegates, hotel guests, office tenants and residents with endless access to new digital solutions and unrivalled online connectivity.
